2023 – Our Year in Review

As we bid farewell to another year, it’s time to take a stroll down memory lane and celebrate the milestones, challenges, and triumphs that defined our journey. In this latest blog we’re rewinding the clock and delving into the highlights that shaped Ghost Enterprises in 2023.

We started the year excited to land a project for Essex County Cricket Club, they asked Ghost Enterprises to roll out guest WiFi throughout the stadium. Due to the size of the site and the coverage needed across the stands and hospitality suites, the project needed meticulous planning and coordination with all involved parties from start to finish. We were thrilled to be tasked with the project, it was an achievement that was felt across our entire company the day the WiFi went live. Securing projects such as this has helped shape Ghost Enterprises year, and in turn, led to our involvement in other projects, most notably, the rollout of G-Host, our cloud hosting platform, across four site offices for one of our clients. Supporting a client as they relocated their offices to India and setting up and installing a server in a data center in Switzerland for a global company.

We’ve certainly kept our projects team busy this year, they’ve racked up more airmiles than Father Christmas at this point, but we wouldn’t be where we are without the support of our clients and of course the dedication of our team, who put in hours of work to make sure that our clients receive outstanding IT support – wherever in the world they may be.

The Ghost team out and about

We also celebrated a big milestone this year, Ghost Enterprises turned 10! From humble beginnings as a team of one, we felt like this was an achievement not to be missed, so we celebrated in true Ghost style with karaoke and cocktails! We also marked this milestone with our first-ever branding photoshoot. We managed to get the whole team together one sunny day in August, to take part in the shoot, we were so happy with the images that we decided to use them across our new website which went live in September!

Celebrating turning 10

Of course, no year in business is complete without one or two lows, and this year we were sad to say goodbye to two members of our Ghost family, Hussein, and Elsie, they were both valued team members and we were sad to see them leave but we’re sure they’ll do amazing things wherever they go next.

As well as saying goodbye to a few team members, we also welcomed several new ones Jeff, Wayne, Richard, Liam, Abraham, and Emily! They’ve taken to Ghost Life rather well and we’re happy to have each of them and their experience as part of our growing team.

Moving into the latter part of the year, and we had something to celebrate in November when our team secured two Real Cyber Awards, ‘Best Cloud Provider’ and ‘Best MSP’. Our IT Manager Paul and 3rd Line Engineer Richard were at the glitzy ceremony in Leeds to pick up the award and represent Ghost on the night while the rest of us celebrated with them on Microsoft Teams! We were thrilled to earn industry recognition for our IT company and the work of the whole Ghost team, this was a win that we’ll still be celebrating way into 2024!

Looking to the year ahead, we will be raising the stakes on our charity fundraising. We have selected Ronald Macdonald House Charities as our 2024 charity. The charity provides a ‘home from home’ so that families can stay together while they care for their child in hospital. As a team, this cause is extremely close to our hearts, and we’re going to be doing all we can to raise funds for this worthy cause. Kicking things off in January with a cycling challenge of 530 miles – each mile representing the number of families Ronald Macdonald House Charites support each month.

Back to business, and this year we also have plans to launch a home automation division, following the success of some recently completed projects. We’re excited about adding a new platform to our business and home automation is such an exciting thing to be part of, especially with the advancements in AI. We will be able to share more on this over the coming months, so stay tuned!

Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to all the businesses who have supported us this year. We value each business we work with and know that without you, we wouldn’t be able to grow our business and create new services for you. It has been a pleasure to support you all with your technical requirements in 2023 and we hope to continue in 2024, so on behalf of the whole Ghost Enterprises team, thank you!

We wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year.
