With three bank holiday weekends, it’s been a mad May! The team has been here there and everywhere, from round trips to Switzerland, office setups to supporting our clients on-site.
Earlier this month a few members of our team visited the Essex Cricket Business Club Event where they had the opportunity to network with other local Essex businesses, enjoy a spot of lunch and take in the Essex vs Surrey County Championship Match. We also had other members of the Ghost team on-site during the match fixture to ensure that The Cloud County Ground’s tech ran seamlessly throughout the 4-day event.
One of our clients also asked us to take a trip to Zurich to scope out a new data centre which they’ll be using to support their Zurich-based HQ. As their dedicated managed service provider we were only too happy to assist them with this mission. We had to make the round trip within 24 hours, which meant that one of our senior technicians had to board 4 flights in total and make several car journeys to reach their destination and get back to the UK in a timely fashion. The Ghost team in the UK was also involved in this project, they have been setting up the new server to be shipped to Switzerland later in the month.
One of our 2nd Line engineers also took a trip to the picturesque Cotswolds to set up a home office for one of our clients, he was tasked with setting up the Wi-Fi and his complete home office. The client uses our cloud-based services, so his new setup allows him to work seamlessly in the office or from home – the perfect solution for a busy CEO!
The team were also able to take a well-earned extended weekend (or 3) to celebrate the King’s Coronation and the bank holidays. Onto June and we can expect more globe-trotting, more special projects and hopefully some sun. Stay tuned!
