It’s been another busy month for the Ghost team. We’ve been taking our IT support global to support our clients as they expand their businesses into other countries.
It’s been a really exciting time for the team and they’ve taken all of the travel in their stride, even though they’ve seen more airports than an international football team.
The first trip of the month was to India, where our 2nd Line engineer Jeff was called upon to assist a client of ours with a new office setup. Once there, Jeff was tasked with re-networking the office and setting up the entire office on our G-Host system.
He was supported remotely by the team in the UK so that he was able to maximise his time there and get the job done quickly and efficiently.
A few weeks later he was followed by IT manager, Paul who visited the site alongside the client to conduct a site audit to ensure the office was set up and ready to operate.
Upon Paul’s return to the UK, the plane barely had time to dock before he was on his next flight to Zurich alongside 3rd Line Engineer Richard to complete the final part of our server project.
If you’ve been following our monthly blogs, you will know that we’ve been working on this server project for a few months, managing the logistics and the very specific requirements for our client.
Just to recap, a few months ago Ghost was approached by a client to purchase a server suitable for their requirements and storage needs. We were then asked to source and secure a Zurich-based data centre, which was to be the location for the new server. The server setup was managed by the team in the UK before shipment was arranged to Zurich.
The final part of this project was to install the server within the chosen data centre on behalf of the client.
The project was expertly managed from start to finish by the entire team and we’re delighted to have completed it within the time frame set by the client.
And whilst international travel has been a big part of Ghost-life this month, we’ve also enjoyed other successes, such as onboarding several new clients who will be using Ghost Enterprises for a number of services from our IT support to our G-Host cloud platform.
As a growing, independent business we celebrate every client we bring on board and really enjoy sinking our teeth into their technical requirements and building an IT strategy that works alongside their business.
Looking to the month ahead and we’re expanding our team once more and bringing in another 2nd Line Engineer and 1st line engineer to help us strengthen our service to our clients.
It’s no secret that we’ve expanded quite a lot over the past 18 months, so to accommodate our growing team Operations Director, Robyn and Office Manager, Amy have been trying to source a new and larger workspace. They haven’t found anywhere just yet, but have been all over the local area trying to find somewhere suitable – so watch this space!
This month the team will also be taking part in a personal branding photoshoot – a personal branding shoot is a great way to give our clients a view of the inner workings of Ghost Enterprises, we’re looking forward to sharing the results with you next month.
